Alessandro Bastoni has been repeatedly linked with a move to Premier League over the past couple of weeks or so.

Inter Milan again need to make money in the summer transfer window and the defender is seen as someone they could sell for a good fee, and then replace for less money.

That’s what is encouraging many of the claims in Italy, and therefore everything said should be taken with that in mind… especially the claim of a €60m fee.

Manchester United are one of the clubs who have been linked with the Inter player, and in recent days they’ve been pushed ahead of others. Calciomercato talk of a potential auction between English clubs, with Erik ten Hag’s side and Tottenham the ones mentioned.

According to the report, a ‘concrete’ proposal is expected soon. Multiple clubs have initiated contact and Manchester United are ‘ready’ to make moves and get involved in that auction.

Calciomercato mention the £150m capital injection Spurs have secured and, likely wrongly, assume this will largely go towards transfers.

For now, this could all be posturing from an Inter Milan perspective, although there has been a lot of Manchester United claims this week.
