Juventus continue with their aim of signing Paul Pogba this summer.

With the Frenchman being out of contract, the Turin side won’t have to pay a transfer fee. On top of that, the advantageous tax rules in Italy will allow them to pay a good after-tax wage at a lower costs than clubs outside of the country.

There also doesn’t appear to be a lot of serious competition for the midfielder. Gazzetta dello Sport report Adrien Rabiot could be set to leave the Serie A side, partly to make way for Pogba, and that Chelsea is a possible destination.

Once again it’s explained Thomas Tuchel would be key, with the German manager having worked with Rabiot at PSG.

Gazzetta believe Rabiot is worth around €20-30m and that such a price tag ‘would not scare’ Chelsea, with it also explained the Juventus player could suit Premier League football.

The 27-year-old has a contract running until June 2023, and therefore Chelsea may well expect Juventus to sell for a lower price than what’s mentioned by Gazzetta, especially after claims a year ago that he could go for less.

As it stands, the Blues don’t appear to have made any effort so far.
