Sevilla have their eyes set on Liverpool’s Stefan Bajcetic, according to Fichajes.net.

The Reds signed the 18-year-old from Celta Vigo in 2020 and after spending two years with their youth team, Jürgen Klopp promoted him to the first team last season, where he made 19 appearances.

Bajcetic hasn’t managed to enjoy regular game time this season as he’s clocked in 72 minutes from two games and is yet to feature in the league.

His situation at Liverpool has caught the attention of the Andalusian club who are looking for young talents to strengthen their squad.

It’s said the La Liga side’s sporting leaders, led by their director Victor Orta, have focused their attention on the Spain U21 international as they believe he’ll ‘fit perfectly’ into their long-term plan.

Fichajes.net add the Europa League winners have ‘concrete plans’ for Bajcetic, to use him as a substitute in the short-term and then make him a key figure in their midfield in the long-term. His deal is until 2027 and he’s reportedly valued at around €15m, although Liverpool would surely ask for more.

Sevilla are looking at the Spaniard for next summer and even though the potential deal won’t be ‘simple’, the report states their desire to sign him is ‘evident’.

Bajcetic could continue to be linked with a move away from Liverpool if he fails to enjoy more game time at Anfield in the coming months.
