Transfer Merkez claim Besiktas are in talks with Stoke City with regards to signing defender Bruno Martins Indi.

The Turkish club are in the market for a central defender, with both Domagoj Vida and Pepe being linked with moves in this transfer window.

Besiktas have already lost two central defenders this summer in Dusko Tosic and Matej Mitrovic, and it seems Stoke City’s Martins Indi is an option to fill this void.

There aren’t any reports if Besiktas are looking to loan or sign the Stoke City player on a permanent deal, but given the Istanbul club’s financial situation it’s likely they will be looking to lease the Dutchman for a season.

Fenerbahce have also been showing an interest in signing Martins Indi and the player is expected to leave Stoke City after their relegation the Championship.

The former FC Porto defender made 17 Premier League appearances for Stoke last season and still has four years left on his contract.
