Turkey’s AMK Spor claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Liverpool’s Divock Origi on a loan deal.

According to AMK Spor, Fenerbahce manager Phillip Cocu has asked the club’s sporting director Damien Comolli to sign Origi as the Dutch manager feels the 23 year old is suitable to his playing style.

Fenerbahce have been linked with moves for Leicester City’s Islam Slimani and Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen in recent weeks, but Origi has now emerged as a target for the Turkish side.

Despite Liverpool’s wish to sell him permanently, AMK Spor say Fenerbahce are looking for a loan and Comolli is hoping his relationship with Liverpool can work to his advantage.

Given the the upturn in Daniel Sturridge’s fortunes at Anfield, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could be even likelier offload the Belgian striker before the window closes.

With Dominic Solanke and youngster Rhian Brewster also providing back up to first choice No.9 Roberto Firmino, the departure of Origi is looking on.

Origi spent last season on loan with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and has just under 12 months left on his Liverpool contract.
