AC Milan are ‘secretly working’ to sign Ruben Neves, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Serie A outfit has help from super-agent Jorge Mendes in signing the midfielder, who they say is valued around €45m by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

How much? That’s not our claim, just a ridiculously optimistic Italian one.

It’s claimed the 22-year-old’s desire is to play in Italy and wear the jersey of his idol and former Milan star Andrea Pirlo.

The Rossoneri will not be able to meet the financial demands of the English club and to lower the transfer fee they are willing to offer Andre Silva to Wolves for an estimated figure of €30m.

This deal could not only help Milan sign Neves, but also make gains on Silva’s sale and save a net salary of €2m per season.

So, to make this clear, Milan’s hope is they can send Andre Silva, who they’ve been trying to sell for an age and who it was claimed earlier this week is valued at €25m, plus €15m for Neves?
