A week ago, AS explained Atlético Madrid have an interest in Çağlar Söyüncü, but there is no agreement in place to sign Leicester City player.

The centre-back’s deal expires next June and he’s been restricted to two appearances this season with the Foxes.

Friday’s edition of the same newspaper says the La Liga side are looking to carry out low-cost operations in January. They need to first make some sales before bringing in new faces to the club.

With regards to incomings, AS state the first name on the list is that of Söyüncü. Given his situation at Leicester and the time left on the contract, he is set to leave the English club as a free agent next summer.

The Turkey international is also attracting interest from Inter Milan and AS Roma.

In order to get ahead of other clubs, Los Rojiblancos ‘plan to negotiate’ with Brendan Rodgers’ side to sign the player in the winter market.

For the attack, Borussia Mönchengladbach star Marcus Thuram is on Atlético’s agenda. His deal expires in 2023 but signing the Frenchman in January is more complicated than the Leicester player for Diego Simeone’s side.
