Greek giants Panathinaikos are not interested in signing Bristol City defender Ashley Williams despite reports in the English press linking the Welshman with a move to Greece.

Sdna claim Pana officials have made it clear they have no intention to sign the Bristol City player in this transfer window and have dismissed the reports coming out of England in recent days.

Williams has lost his place in the Wales starting eleven, but the defender is still hopeful of being in Ryan Giggs’ plans ahead of Euro 2020 this summer.

The player is getting regular games for Bristol City and it would make sense for him to remain with the Championship side beyond this window.

The player previously had spells at Swansea, Everton and Stoke City before joining Bristol City last summer.

He’s made 24 appearances for the club this season in all competitions. Williams will become a free agent in June, meaning he can now speak to clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement.
