Earlier on Friday, we covered a story from Turkey where it was claimed that Fenerbahçe, as well as signing Fred, were still in talks to get Tanguy Ndombélé.

The Tottenham midfielder is clearly on his way out of the London club, and even the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglou doesn’t appear to have changed that.

Well, according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Fenerbahçe have made their first offer to sign Ndombélé.

Taking to Twitter, he claims that the Turkish side have made an €8m bid to try and convince Tottenham to part ways with the player, although whether that will be enough remains to be seen.

Much like Fred when he was at Shakhtar, Ndombélé cost his current club around €60m, and it would be no surprise if Daniel Levy asked for a bit more to let the player go.

Regardless of his status in the squad, the 26-year-old still has two years left on his contract at Tottenham, meaning there is still some room to bargain with in London.

Either way, Fenerbahçe have made their first move, and the ball is in Levy’s court.
