Takvim report Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is hopeful he can bring Aleksandar Mitrovic to the Ulker Stadium following a good round of talks with Newcastle United.

According to Takvim, Real Betis and Fulham are currently rivalling Fenerbahce to sign Mitrovic and they also stated the Magpies are not looking to sell him outright as they’d prefer another loan deal.

That seems incredibly optimistic from the Turkish media.

After moving on from Sporting Lisbon forward Bas Dost, Takvim say Mitrovic is now an option for the Turkish club, and Comolli is hoping he can get an agreement with Newcastle United before the end of the transfer window.

Mitrovic is unlikely to stay at Newcastle, and given his great loan spell at Fulham during the second half of last season there’s a renewed interest in the player.

The Serbian scored 12 goals for Fulham last season, which helped get the London club promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

The player still has two years left on his Newcastle United contract.
