The Portuguese media today reveals Sporting’s interest in Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra.

The information comes from newspaper O Jogo, who feature a story which is actually more focused on the Lions’ chase for Brentford’s Mikkel Damsgaard.

It’s said the Bees’ winger isn’t the only one on Sporting’s list, and there are a couple of factors which actually make Sinisterra a more attractive target.

The outlet writes that the Leeds player is ‘faster and more explosive’, and is currently being considered by the Lions.

There’s just no information on whether Sporting have made any contacts with Leeds for the transfer, and that’s why their chase for Damsgaard seems more advanced, as an approach has already been made.

O Jogo point out that Sinisterra is one of the players trying to leave the Whites for free following their relegation to the Championship. They’re likely to be referring to the recent loan moves, and that indeed makes him an attractive option, as the Elland Road side spent €25m on the signing.

However, he’s still there because he didn’t have the same exit clause as others, and therefore this would not be an easy transfer.

The Colombian has also been linked to other clubs, and it seems Sporting would only move for him as a very late option in the window.
