Fotomac report Galatasaray’s interest in Joe Aribo has ended after Rangers demanded €10m for the Nigerian midfielder.

Earlier this week, we covered reports from Turkey which stated Gala were interested in signing the former Charlton Athletic midfielder and that club board member Abdurrahim Albayrak had made first contact with the Ibrox club.

Today, Fotomac claim Steven Gerrard’s side have responded negatively to Cim Bom’s offer as they want €10m for Aribo.

It’s also reported the Scottish giants would like to keep him in their squad as they will be be looking to qualify for the Champions League group stages next season.

Following this response, Fotomac say Gala will no longer pursue the player and that they are now looking at other midfield options.

The midfielder joined Steven Gerrard’s side from Charlton Athletic in 2019 and made 42 appearances for the Scottish Premiership champions in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals.

Aribo’s contract with Rangers will expire at the end of June 2023.
