With Arthur barely playing for Liverpool this season, it’s natural that an early departure from the Reds becomes a possible scenario in the January window.

According to Brazilian journalist Felippe Facincani, that attracted interest from Palmeiras, who ‘dreamed’ of signing the midfielder.

It’s said the Verdão got in touch with Arthur’s staff, but the transfer is labelled as ‘very complicated’ at this time. The first reason is because he earns too much money at Liverpool, and then there’s the fact that Juventus, his parent club, would rather keep him in Europe.

Arthur’s staff are said to be working for a potential return to Brazil to be possible in the summer. For now, it’s more likely that he stays.

Fancicani makes it clear that Arthur flopped at Barcelona, Juventus and Liverpool, claiming his loan at the Reds has been a ‘fiasco’.

The midfielder joined Jurgen Klopp’s side at the start of the season and only made one appearance for the first team, as he played for 13 minutes in the Champions League’s first fixture against Napoli. The player was then had surgery and is still to enter the pitch for the club again.
