Earlier on Monday, we covered a claim in the Italian media that Everton were one of two clubs serious about moving for Samuel Iling Junior.

The young forward is now a concrete target for a number of Premier League club, who are keen to bring him back to England after his €130k exit from Chelsea in 2020.

Now, Gazzetta dello Sport provide an update on what Juventus plan to do, even if they don’t name Everton per se.

Aston Villa and the Toffees were said to be willing to present a concrete offer for the 19-year-old, and that’s something the Serie A side are quite excited about.

So much so, in fact, that Gazzetta report that Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna ‘will fly to London in the next few days’ to ‘personally verify the various offers’ ready to be made by clubs.

While the previous report believed Juventus would want €25m to sanction a sale, the newspaper reckon they are a bit more lenient on the price, with the Italians ready to give ‘the green light’ at around €18-20m.

That will be some very good news for Everton, who are currently struggling to get deals over the line and narrowly missing out on targets; something Sean Dyche personally admitted over the weekend.
