This Thursday, we’ve covered a story from Gazzetta Dello Sport which claimed that Juventus have scheduled a meeting with Emre Can’s entourage for the next week.
With the player’s contract with Liverpool coming to an end this summer, the Old Lady would be worried about the competition and want a deal agreed as soon as possible.
The Emre Can saga has been followed by the Italian media on a daily basis for the past few months, so there’s quite a bit of different point of views out there, as each paper has its own info.
Now Calcio Mercato managed to speak to Juventus’ director Beppe Marotta, who has finally given some official word on this situation.
Among many other rumours, Marotta was asked about Can, and he wasn’t any afraid of saying that his club is very interested in bringing the midfielder to Italy.
“He is one of the most attractive players both for the value and for the fact that he is released in June. It’s normal that there are different suitors. We make our way, we know that there are other competing clubs that are among the best in the world. The fate of the player is in his head, if he decides to come to Turin we will be happy, otherwise we will take another chance”, Marotta told Calcio Mercato.
As the transfer window approaches, Can’s move from Liverpool to Juventus only seems to get more obvious, at least if the player doesn’t change his mind along the way.
