Besiktas president Fikret Orman has spoken to Turkish TV channel BeinSports after the transfer of Cenk Tosun to Everton.

Orman was asked whether there’ll be any more outgoings at the club during the January window, following claims Celtic are preparing a bid for Dusko Tosic,

However, Orman dismissed reports they are ready to listen to offers for the Serbian defender, despite interest from Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

Orman said, as covered by SputnikTR: “I really love Tosic and I can confirm that we have no interest in parting ways with him. In fact, there’ve actually been no official offers. It’s all speculation at the moment. He’s like one of us and we want to keep him in our squad.”

In November we covered reports from the Turkish press that Celtic wanted to bolster their defensive options in January, and Tosic could be brought in by the Scottish Premiership champions.

It was claimed Celtic were ready to table a bid in the region of €3m to sign the former QPR player. The Serbia international would be brought to provide strength, with Eric Sviatchenko likely leaving Celtic Park.

His versatility could also provide back up to Celtic’s current first choice left back Kieran Tierney.
