Besiktas are looking ‘extremely unlikely’ to sign Dele Alli on a permanent basis from Everton as his loan deal at the Turkish side continues to go badly.

That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who take a look at the player today and how his move to the Super Lig is not working out.

They say that the ‘once hopeful career’ of Alli has already taken a ‘major turn for the worse’ and this week saw the former England international experience ‘another low point’.

He has been playing for Besiktas since august but his record there is ‘sobering’ to say the least, with just one goal in seven games to his name. He is also yet to play 90 minutes in the league.

Then came a ‘big humiliation’ this week when Besiktas faced Sanliurfaspor at home, a third division side. Alli was part of the starting line up for that game, given a chance to show his qualities by coach Senol Günes.

Besiktas won the game 4-2 but had found themselves 2-0 down at one point, with Alli substituted off in the 29th minute.

He left the fiend ‘with his head hanging’ and a ‘sad expression’ on his face to ‘gloating and audible joy’ from the stands ringing in his ears.

The moment was an extremely low one for the midfielder, whose future is ‘still up in the air’ at both Besiktas and Everton.

It is currently ‘extremely unlikely’ that the former will want to buy him from the latter and take up the option to buy that they negotiated with Everton in the summer.

That means he is set to return to Goodison Park in the summer, perhaps even earlier, after writing yet another negative chapter in his downward spiralling story.
