Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fábio Silva is happy to remain at PSV Eindhoven next season, but it remains to be seen if the loan deal is repeated.

That’s according to Jornal de Noticias, who say the striker would like to extend his stay in the Netherlands beyond the summer.

Silva joined PSV on loan in January after ending a similar spell on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht in the first half of the campaign.

He’s been a regular for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side since, with five goals and one assist in 14 games so far and a positive impression all round.

PSV have ‘already decided’ that they want to keep the player and have ‘expressed’ their desire to extend his loan spell for another season to Wolves.

There is no agreement in place in the current deal, nor is there a purchase clause either, so negotiations between the two clubs will be necessary if a deal is to happen.

According to JN’s information, Silva is ‘happy’ where he is and is ‘looking forward’ to continuing where he is but Wolves plans for him are unclear.

They may have other ideas about what to do with him and may even want him as part of Julen Loptegeui’s squad for next season.
