Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic has the “perfect physical characteristics” to play for West Ham United, if they make a move for him.

That’s according to agent Gianluca Nani, who believes the Hammers would be doing good business by signing the player.

West Ham are believed to be on the hunt for another central defender in the January transfer window, despite signing Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd in the summer.

The latter is yet to get his career at the London Stadium underway properly following an injury in the summer, while the German has been used as both a right-back and central defender by David Moyes so far this season.

An injury to Kurt Zouma means West Ham remain short on options, though, with the Frenchman yet to return to training and no date being proposed for him.

That has led to suggestions they could enter the market to strengthen, and Milenkovic is one of those to have been linked.

He was first named as a possible target in 2021 and brought back into contention in the summer and Nani believes that would be a smart move for Moyes and co to make.

“He, on the other hand, has all the characteristics to play in England,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.

“(He has the) perfect physical characteristics for West Ham. I see him as excellent for the Hammers, so they can look for him. Then I don’t know if it will happen in January.”
