Chelsea are set to complete a move for PSV Eindhoven forward Noni Madueke after talks ‘gained momentum’ today.

That’s according to journalist Rik Elfrink, who says the Blues are ‘definitely going’ to buy the forward and have put a ‘very big bag of money’ on the table for him.

Chelsea have been busy spending money adding to Graham Potter’s squad this month, paying big sums to secure deals for the likes of Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Madueke has also been linked with a move and a report in the Netherlands earlier this month claimed that they had already seen a €30m offer rejected for the PSV Eindhoven forward.

That was because the Dutch side were holding out for a bigger fee as they look to secure another big price exit following Cody Gakpo’s move to Liverpool earlier this month.

It seems they have now made that bid, with Elfrink reporting that talks between the two clubs ‘gained momentum’ today.

According to his information, Chelsea are ‘definitely going’ to buy Madueke this month and have put a ‘very big bag of money’ on the table to make it happen.

He offers no exact price on what they are paying for Madueke, but it was believed PSV wanted over €40m for their man so we will assume it is around that price.

Those details are sure to come out in the coming days as it appears Chelsea are pushing for their latest addition in a busy January window so far.
