Amid the strong links of a move to Barcelona or Chelsea, Sevilla defender Jules Koundé has been left out of the club’s squad which is travelling to Portugal.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, his club announced the list of players who are flying for the second part of their pre-season, and the centre-back was ‘ruled out’ by manager Julen Lopetegui.

The outlet writes that Sevilla and Koundé ‘already know he’s being transferred’, and they now wait to see if the player is heading either to Barcelona or Chelsea.

It’s once again claimed that the player’s wish is to move to the Camp Nou side, but the Blues’ economic bid could end up changing his mind. The Stamford Bridge club offer more money both to the La Liga side, as well as to the centre-back himself.

Chelsea’s ‘agreement’ with Sevilla is highlighted, and even though the player should have the final word, there’s not a lot he could do in case Barça don’t match the English offer.

According to the most recent update from Seville outlet Estadio Deportivo, the Blues are still working to reach a final agreement with the Nervion side, with Spanish director Monchi working to get ‘the most out of the deal’. Still, it was claimed the parties believe the transfer can be done before Sunday.
