Chelsea forward Diego Costa had a great comeback after the controversial week he’s been through. Despite rumours of an argument with Antonio Conte and a possible move to China, the player got back in the team for the game against Hull City and scored one of the goals in the 2-0 home win.

ESPN Brasil couldn’t interview with the 28-year-old after the match, but still managed to speak to David Luiz. And after the questions about the game, Diego Costa was obviously a subject.

Asked about the striker’s celebration, where Costa clearly meant people talking too much, David Luiz said: “Pac Man. That little game he likes to play. Diego is as usual. Happy, loves to play football. These things are often sensationalised from the outside.

“Sometimes they are small things that are later hyped, and they end up being talked about, which is natural too. But he’s happy, happy that he got another goal, managed to help us. He’s a great player, I hope he continues like this, scoring and then the celebration is with him. It’s not with me, no.

Luiz was also asked if Diego Costa had said anything to him about the big offer from China, but the defender tried to evade the question a bit: “No. What he likes is playing football, he’s happy and things can happen.

“Everyone has offers. When you play in a big club, you always have an offer. But then, each one takes his choice, makes his decision of what is best for the heart and he’s happy.”

After Saturday’s goal, Diego Costa now has scored 15 times in 20 Premier League games this season. Despite the many transfer rumours which surround him every month, his contract with the Blues still runs until 2019.
