Italian outlet Calcio Mercato comes up with an exclusive story on Wednesday saying Chelsea are not getting rid of fullback Emerson Palmieri anytime soon.

According to what their team learned at the WyScout Forum in Amsterdam, the Blues have big faith in the Brazilian’s future, and see him as an important piece in the squad.

Although Palmieri is considered to be the number two option for the position after Marcos Alonso, Pit’s expected he’ll continue to get opportunities when the chance presents itself.

That’s why a January move is ruled out for now.

Palmieri has recently been linked to the likes of Inter Milan and AS Roma, with his lack of game time at Chelsea being the main reason for the rumours.

He joined Chelsea in a €20m move in January 2018 and has made 12 appearances for the Blues so far. Five of them this season, all in the Europa League or the EFL Cup.
