Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but he put an end to the speculation surrounding his future by confirming that he is “happy” at Stamford Bridge and is not looking for a move away from the club.

The Belgium international has two years left on his current deal with the FA Cup winners and has so far not signed a contract extension.

According to DH, the Premier League club’s first offer for the 27-year-old did not materialise and they are now expected to reopen talks over extension.

It’s claimed the Blues want to tie down their player to a new contract and are ready to offer him an ‘exceptional salary’. He is on €225,000-a-week and Chelsea are ready to offer him €300,000-a-week to make him the highest paid player in the club’s history.

The report claims Hazard is in no rush to put pen to paper and wants to wait until the ‘good part’ of this campaign is completed before committing his future to Chelsea.
