Bild have set about rubbishing unlikely claims that Timo Werner could be set for a move to Real Madrid this summer.

They state the reports started in England, via The Daily Express, and then explain, according to their own information, that it’s unlikely Werner will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the current window.

Despite having a difficult first season with the Blues, Werner is determined to fight his way to success under Thomas Tuchel, and isn’t looking towards the exit door.

The Spanish media haven’t really been presenting the Germany international as an option for Real Madrid, and the deal looks unlikely from Los Blancos’ perspective as well. They don’t have a great deal of ready cash to invest so taking a gamble on Werner is almost certainly not on Florentino Perez’s agenda right now.

Bild go on to look at Antonio Rudiger’s situation, given his Chelsea contract expires in 2022 and there’s been attempts for a renewal. They state the defender continues to insist on concentrating only on Euro 2020, and that he hasn’t forgotten how Frank Lampard ostracised him.

There’s clearly still some bitterness over that, if Bild are correct, and therefore Chelsea need ‘good arguments’ ready for renewal talks… which is likely related to money.
