Ajax signed Hakim Ziyech from FC Twente in 2016.

Since joining the Amsterdam club, the attacking midfielder has been in fine form, scoring 34 goals and registering 49 assists in all competitions, which includes 13 goals and 11 assists from this season.

The 25-year-old’s impressive form for the Eredivisie outfit has seen him draw attention from the Premier League.

According to Calciomercato, ‘Chelsea like an Ajax star’. It’s a single sentence report that claims the Blues have their eye on the Morocco international, who has been one of the standout performers for the Dutch club.

Last summer, Ziyech came close to joining AS Roma, but the deal didn’t take shape. Reports suggested the Serie A outfit were once again interested in him in the winter market.

In January, Fox Sports asked him about the Roma links and Ziyech said: “Rome are again interested in me? Then they could think about it last summer.”

“Am I angry? Obviously not so, but this is a different season, I’m doing better compared to last year and the only thing I’m thinking of right now is finishing the season with Ajax, then we’ll see.”
