We all know Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister was already an established player in the Premier League prior to the World Cup. But with his performances in Argentina’s title winning campaign in Qatar, that opened the eyes of many clubs who are  now interested in him.

According to a report from Argentina today, the likes of Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are all chasing the 24-year-old.

Those clubs are mentioned in a story from TyC Sports journalist Gastón Edul, who claims it’s still ‘hard’ for Mac Allister to leave Brighton in the January transfer window. It’s said he could only leave in case the Seagulls choose to sell him, and their current intention is to hold him.

The report claims it’s Chelsea who lead the race, followed by Arsenal and with Atletico Madrid coming in third. For how, however, it isn’t said how much these clubs would like to pay for the midfielder.

Edul points out that a transfer could happen in the summer, so Arsenal and Chelsea may have to be a little patient in that pursuit.
