Despite already spending a huge amount of money on the transfer market with little to show for it so far, Chelsea continue they huge revamp of the squad at Stamford Bridge.

Some of it is for the present, while other deals are clearly for the future, which is where a club like Strasbourg comes in, ready to welcome a few players on loan after their acquisition by BlueCo.

One of the players who has, however, rejected that option is Elye Wahi, whom Chelsea remain keen on but won’t go overboard for, according to L’Equipe.

The Blues continue to try and sign the Montpellier star, but the Ligue 1 side are trying to maximise a sale, wanting €30m for their player.

Chelsea, for now, are ‘blocking’ their offer at €27.5m, which is a stance that has yet to reap any benefits, since there is a stalemate.

The hope is that frustration starts to set in at Montpellier, since they cannot bring in a replacement for Wahi, who wants to leave, before getting the money from the Premier League side.

Therefore, it could just be a case of a bit more patience being needed to get a transfer on Chelsea’s terms over the line.
