With rumours that Moussa Dembélé’s representatives had met with Tottenham twice in the past week, Celtic bringing in another striker makes sense, especially considering the 21-year-old is also currently injured.
The likely candidate appears to be Paris Saint-Germain’s Odsonne Édouard, who looks set to move to Celtic Park on a loan.
Expected to arrive on Thursday for a medical, it appears the 19-year-old could also extend his stay beyond the loan if Celtic decide he’s good enough, as news has emerged a buy-out clause was included in the deal.
According to the reliable Paris United Twitter account, who have been at the forefront of most Paris Saint-Germain rumours throughout the summer, the Scottish Premiership champions will be able to make the deal permanent for €10m.

That appears to have been good negotiating from Celtic’s part, as the same tweet reveals the Ligue 1 runners-up’s director of football, Antero Henrique, wanted it to be €15m.
If true, that’s a very good deal, and if Moussa Dembélé does leave next season, for example, they already have a ready made replacement for just €10m.
He just needs to prove he can be that guy over the course of the season.
