Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sörloth is having a very positive loan spell in Turkey. Loaned to Trabzonspor at the start of the season, the striker managed to score 33 goals in his first year at the club.

Since the sides agreed to a two-year deal, there should be still one more season for the 24-year-old to shine in the Turkish league, but perhaps he could end up moving before that.

German outlet Bild writes today that RB Leipzig have been following the striker’s form, and are interested in signing him this summer.

The Bundesliga side are losing Patrik Schick, who’s going back to his parent club AS Roma, and now see Sörloth as the perfect replacement for him.

Since Trabzonspor are out of European competition next season, Bild believes RB Leipzig could have an easier task to attract him to Germany.

The deal with Crystal Palace says the Turkish side can sign the striker for only €6m, which they could do and then sell him for more.

But since claims from Turkey believe that option can only be triggered at the end of his loan spell, perhaps the clubs would have to sort this situation in some other way. That would mean a lot of negotiations between RB Leipzig, Crystal Palace and Trabzonspor.
