According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray could keep hold of Brighton & Hove Albion striker Florin Andone after the player showed progression returning from injury.

After a decent start to the season, the Romanian striker injured his knee against Gazisehir Gaziantep FK last month, and initial reports suggested he will be out until March.

With their urgent need for a forward it was reported Galatasaray will cut short his loan deal and send him back to Brighton. However, contrary to earlier reports, Fanatik say the Turkish side may keep him.

It’s reported Andone is making serious progress and could return earlier than expected, and there is a chance that he will stay beyond January.

Fanatik report the decision over the Brighton loanee will be made in January and the Turkish newspaper believe Fatih Terim will give him a chance in the second half of the season if he returns to training in the near future.

The 26 year old has made nine appearances for Gala in all competitions and scored two goals.
