As Inter Milan could soon be losing their goalkeeper André Onana to the Premier League, it’s exactly in England that they may find his substitute.

Italian website CalcioMercato.it today features a story saying the Nerazzurri have Brentford’s David Raya as one of the options on their table.

That pursuit, however, isn’t expected to be easy, and there’s a couple of reasons for that.

The first is that Brentford believe Raya is worth £40m, and while there’s a feeling that price could be lower for foreign clubs, that ‘does not represent a low-cost option’ that Inter Milan had been expecting.

And even if the Bees may prefer to see the goalkeeper leaving England, that’s not the player’s personal choice, as it’s claimed that he’d rather stay in the Premier League.

The outlet points out that Chelsea have already ‘tested the ground’ for the Brentford star, while Tottenham seem out of the race following the signing of Guglielmo Vicario.

Now we should wait and see if Inter Milan will give it a try, although that would only happen once Onana’s departure is fully sorted.
