While they haven’t secured their promotion to the Premier League just yet, Leeds United took a step in the right direction at the weekend, beating Derby 1-0 away in the first game of the playoff semi-finals.

Regardless of whether they return to England’s elite, Spanish journalist Angel Garcia Alvarez, relayed by Marca, believes the club have secured a signing for next season in Barcelona’s Rafa Mujica.

A mainstay in the Catalan’s B team, the 20-year-old has scored seven goals in 33 appearances this season, as well as picking up one assist.

The journalist reports the player has already ‘signed his agreement’ with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds, arriving on a free as his contract with Barcelona expires next month.

Garcia Alvarez claims the youngster has been on the Elland Road club’s radar for ‘some time’ now, and they’ve finally got their man.

We’ll have to see if he brings anything to the table next season, and his game time could be largely affected by which league Leeds play in next year.
