A couple of days ago, Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo reported Barcelona midfielder Nico Gonzalez has been offered to the likes of Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It was claimed that his agent, Jorge Mendes, was looking for a solution for the player this summer, and contacted the two English clubs ahead of a potential move to the Premier League.

The chance of Gonzalez leaving Camp Nou this summer remains strong, and newspaper AS today features a piece on this situation.

The outlet writes that the 21-year-old is being pushed towards the exit door at Barça, and they actually bring news which should be of interest to Aston Villa and Wolves.

It’s claimed that even though Xavi wants Gonzalez gone this summer due to the big number of players for his position, the club will only let the player leave on a loan deal.

So if Aston Villa or Wolves are actually keen on the signing, they better know they’ll have the youngster for a year and then send him back to the Camp Nou.

AS point out this is a situation that many clubs don’t like, as they’d land a player under development and then send him back to Barça with the necessary experience in his bag.

Now it’s up to the interested clubs to decide.
