According to Turkish newspaper Turkiye, Trabzonspor forward Alexander Sorloth, who’s currently on loan from Crystal Palace, is attracting interest from Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Sorloth has been fantastic for Trabzonspor since joining the club at the start of the season on a two-year loan deal from the Eagles, and he’s one of the reasons why Karadeniz Firtinasi are in contention to clinch their first league title in 36 years.
It’s claimed his form has brought him to the attention of a number of clubs, including Aston Villa and Newcastle United. Both Premier League sides are likely to be in the market for a forward this summer given their struggle for a consistent goalscorer in this campaign.
However, Trabzonspor have the option to make his move permanent for €6m, and it seems the Turkish club will activate this and then possibly sell him on for a hefty profit.
According to Turkiye, Trabzonspor are ready to wait until the end of next season to make his move permanent and they are hoping his value will rise even more.
Sorloth has made 36 appearances for Trabzonspor in all competitions this season, scoring 25 goals and providing 7 assists to his name.
