Mathys Tel hasn’t cemented his place at Tottenham Hotspur and has several opportunities to leave the Premier League side this summer.
Spurs initially signed the forward on loan from Bayern Munich in February 2025 and made his stay permanent later that year.
He played 3,035 minutes from 59 matches for Tottenham, managing seven goals and five assists.
Last season, the Frenchman settled for a restricted role [1,688 minutes]. However, he has featured regularly since Roberto De Zerbi’s arrival in March. Tel played the full 90 minutes in his side’s 3-0 league defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
Tottenham man attracting interest

Earlier this month, Sport Witness covered a report from Spain explaining that Real Betis want to sign him on loan.
Fotospor in Turkey covers Galatasaray’s desire to sign the 21-year-old in the last days of this window.
The Turkish champions haven’t been active this summer and are working on improving several positions.
Mathys Tel is an option for the attack because of his ability to operate on the wings and as a striker. The Istanbul club have held talks with Roberto De Zerbi’s side to sign the France U21 international and ‘efforts have intensfied’ in recent days.
Tottenham yet to make decision
Galatasaray have also identified Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun as an attacking target.
The Bundesliga side have refused to offer them a discount and have ‘stirred things up’ by joining the battle for Mathys Tel.
Galatasaray have identified the France U21 international as backup for Victor Osimhen. Manager Okan Buruk can also utilise him on the wings.
Fotosport makes it clear the Spurs attacker isn’t the priority target for the Süper Lig side. Despite this, talks have held with over a potential move because he’s one of the ‘most important alternatives’.
The outlet ends their report by stating: ‘Tottenham will make their final decision based on official offers.’
The north London club are working on signing both Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City. There’s also interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo.
Spurs are expected to strengthen their attack, and the new arrivals could see them let Tel move elsewhere.
