As Danilo Cabellos doesn’t have one single minute played for Real Madrid this season, it has become clear that he’s not in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.

It turns out that, according to reports from the Spanish media, Aston Villa could show up as a solution for the midfielder.

That’s today said by outlet Fichajes, who claims that Unai Emery has been following Ceballos for a long time.

Their story highlights the player’s ‘difficult situation’ at Real Madrid due to the strong competition he has in the squad.

Aston Villa are then said to be ‘looking for a way’ to find a deal with the La Liga giants to take the player to England in the January transfer window.

Emery would then ‘give him control’ of their midfield. That way, the manager gets one of his ‘great objects of desire’ while Ceballos himself gets the playing time he’s looking to.

The idea would be for Aston Villa ot sign the player on a six-month loan, but it’s yet to be seen whether Real Madrid will be on board with that kind of operation.
