Nicolas Pepe’s excellent start to the season for Lille has seen countless transfer rumours build around the 23 year old.

With nine goals and five assists so far, playing as a right sided attacker, Pepe certainly justifies the hype being built around him.

Several Premier League clubs have been linked with the player in recent months and it’s unlikely Lille would be able to hold out should especially big offers arrive.

Arsenal are one of the clubs who have been linked and that’s the case again with claims from Telefoot.

The French outlet, who this weekend interviewed Pepe, explain there’s a number of clubs interested, but three are specially serious. Those are Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

They would all be ‘willing to put €50m on the table’ to complete the signing. Others, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are also presented as being keen.

Pepe is happy at Lille, and quizzed by Telefoot on his future, he explained: “We do not know what the future will be, for the moment I’m at LOSC. I have something specific to do at LOSC. It’s something that I want to do already this season and then think about the next season.”

That may be qualifying for European competition, but if Arsenal or another club do put the €50m down then Lille’s resolve will be tested.
