Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have been added by Telefoot to the group of ‘great clubs’ with an interest in signing Nicolas Pepe.

The 23 year old is having a good season for Lille, and has scored eight goals in 12 Ligue 1 matches so far this campaign, adding five assists along the way.

It’s claimed Chelsea have ‘begun to enter the dance’, but their interest is placed behind Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, who it’s claimed would be willing to pay Lille €50m to take the player.

Given that, if Chelsea want to sign Pepe then they’ll likely have to make moves soon to make sure they don’t get left behind.

Whilst Lille would probably want to keep Pepe until the summer, and hope his potential price rises even further, a big offer in January would make them wobble.

Pepe has been playing on the right for Lille, but can also play as a striker. Chelsea have been linked with several strikers for the January window, before Alvaro Morata hit goalscoring form, and Pepe would be another option.
