Arsenal could be handed a second chance to sign Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, with the Spanish giants considering letting the Brazilians go.

That’s according to El Confidencial, who cover the situation around both players today and say Madrid are ready to listen to offers for the duo.

They explain that the ‘irregularity’ of the Brazilian pair means they have failed to convince Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez, so there are rising doubts about their futures at the Bernabeu.

So far the pair have failed to justify the €100m the club spent to sign them and Madrid are now looking at letting them go.

Starting with Vinicius, the website explains that he was a favourite of Perez’s, but his irregular performances have eroded that faith.

Zidane also has doubts about him while the player himself does not feel ‘supported’ by either the French coach or the club.

This has led both parties to look at a potential loan deal, and there are likely to be offers from around Europe, as there was in the past.

One of the interested parties previously were Arsenal, who were ‘the first to ask’ in the Premier League before Manchester United and Tottenham also showed an interest.

They were given a firm denial, but the situation has changed, and Madrid are open to a loan or sale, although if it is the latter, he will ‘remain linked’ to the club via something like a buy-back option, such as the one for Sergio Reguilón.

Rodrygo’s case is a little different. He is more to the liking of Zidane, but the reality is that he is struggling to get a regular spot in the first-team, featuring intermittently at best.

With this in mind, Madrid are considering a loan deal for him so the player, who is uncomfortable being in and out of the team, can get regular playing time and develop.

El Confidencial say there has always been interest in him too, particularly from Arsenal, who were ‘interested in his future’ last summer and ‘wanted to enlist him’.

Again they were sent packing, but the situation has now changed, and while there have been no firm decisions as yet, Madrid are not ruling out either leaving.
