Record writes that Mikel Arteta’s side are one of the clubs in the chase, and it turns out they may have some kind of advantage against other Premier League clubs who want to sign Darwin Nunez this summer.
With Arsenal just one position from a potential qualification for the Champions League, that’s something which gives the Gunners a bigger chance of landing the striker, as other interested clubs such as Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United are unlikely to offer him that for next season.Now all this competition pushes Darwin’s price up, and according to Record, Benfica will demand at least €80m to start negotiating his sale. That’s still a lot below his €150m release clause.
