Napoli striker Victor Osimhen only ‘wants to win’, and that will dictate his future as the player continues to be linked to Newcastle United.

That’s according to his agent, Roberto Calenda, who insists his client is ‘focused’ on Napoli for the time being.

Osimhen has been in fine form for Napoli this season, with 15 goals and four assists in 25 games so far, making him a very attractive prospect.

At 23-years-old he has plenty of development left, and with a tally of 63 goals in 145 games so far, there are plenty who believe he could be an elite level striker in the coming years.

Newcastle are known to be very keen on him, with reports in England and Italy alike making it clear they would be happy to spend big on him this summer.

Indeed, it’s even been reported that they made the first move in the January transfer window, offering big money but being rebuffed by Aurelio de Laurentiis.

Napoli refused to sell to Newcastle, but the Magpies could return in the summer, at which point they’ll have to work to convince the player of the move.

That’s something his agent has hinted at, too, saying his client is focused on winning as a priority.

“The boy is focused; he wants to win,” Tuttomercatoweb report him telling Radio Marte.

“We have all seen his attachment to the team, how he throws himself on every ball. Now he plays in a strong team.

“The newspapers rightly have to be filled and written. Even those who don’t know soccer probably, if they were asked for names of strikers, would name Osimhen.

“Victor is a Napoli player, and now there are seven finals; the important focus is on this season.”
