Despite being at Bayern Munich for close to three years now, Corentin Tolisso hasn’t played all that much.
The French midfielder only has 68 appearances to his name, and while injuries have a part to play in that, managerial choices are also a big factor.
Hans-Dieter Flick has only chosen to play him seven times in the league since taking over back in November, and this lack of game time has made the 25-year-old a target for a number of clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal.
Foot Mercato are the ones reporting this, explaining that as well as the Gunners and the Old Trafford based club, Juventus, Atlético Madrid and Napoli are in the queue for his services.
Bayern Munich are aware their £37m investment isn’t living up to the expectations placed on him, and the French website state they have now decided to let him go in the next transfer window.
That will represent a great opportunity for both Arsenal and Manchester United, who always seem to be in need of a bit of midfield bolstering these days.
As for the player in all this, it’s claimed he ‘isn’t against an exit’ from Bayern Munich, where he is under contract until 2022.
Whether that means he ends up at the Emirates or at Old Trafford remains to be seen, but it certainly makes him an interesting target who wouldn’t be the most expensive to buy either, since he hasn’t done much to drive his value up in recent times.
