Besides all the players who are bought by clubs from the City Group with the dream of playing for Manchester City and never get the chance, there are even those who actually sign for the Premier League side and go through the same situation.

This, for now, is the case of Diego Rosa. He joined Pep Guardiola’s side from Gremio in 2021, and so far, has gone out on two loans, first to Lommel SK in Belgium and now to Vizela in Portugal.

The 20-year-old today had a conversation with the Portuguese media, and when asked about his plans for the future, he made that pretty clear.

He wants to be back and play for Manchester City, and expects that to happen by the end of the season.

“That has always been my dream, to play for a big club in Europe, not that Vizela aren’t, but Manchester City were the club that looked after me back there. I’m here working to help Vizela keep up in this division and maybe in June I’ll be there at Manchester City,” said Diego Rosa (via O Jogo).

It turns out, however, that Diego Rosa is struggling a little to have enough playing time at Vizela this season.

In the nine appearances he’s done, only three were as a starter, and in other three of the games, he didn’t even come off the bench, meaning that to get a chance at Manchester City, he’ll probably need to show more to convince Pep Guardiola.
