Earlier today, we covered reports from the Italian press which said Tottenham Hotspur had made contact for Cagliari forward Kwang-Song Han.
Currently on loan at Perugia, the player has been attracting the interest from several sides. That story actually had Juventus as the main pretender for him, although the Spurs’ observations would show up as some serious competition.
But the Old Lady’s pursuit continues to be the main subject around the player today. His agent Sandro Stemperini has spoken to website Calcio Mercato later in the afternoon, and answered all the questions about the rumour.
“A lot is talked, it’s true. And in these cases a bit of truth will have to be there, considering also the excellent relationships that exist between Cagliari and Juventus,” the agent told Calcio Mercato.
The agent still couldn’t help but tease with a Juve transfer when asked directly about the interest: “For the moment, it’s a dream: every young football player, when it comes to football matters, he hopes to get to a great team, then there are a couple of interesting coincidences, it’s true that Han supported Juve as a favourite team here in Italy and it’s true that his idol is Dybala… ”
For Perugia, Kwang-Song Han has seven goals and three assists this season so far. He can be bought by the club at the end of the season because of a contract option, but then Cagliari would have a buy-back clause as well.
Besides all these difficulties, it seems Tottenham will also have a hard job convincing the player not to join Juventus.
