Leeds United remain in pole to sign Werder Bremen goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald after the player turned down a move to PAOK Saloniki.
Kreiszeitung have reported Wiedwald looks likely to move to Leeds United despite the interest from other clubs. It’s been confirmed by PAOK sporting director Lubos Michel that Wiedwald has texted him to say he doesn’t want a move to Greece, despite an offer coming in from the Greek side.
With Nantes distancing themselves from signing the Werder Bremen keeper it seems Leeds United are on course to land the player in the coming days.
Wiedwald’s imminent arrival at Leeds United will be the club’s second major signing this summer, after they signed Mateusz Klich from FC Twente last week.
