A week ago, we covered claims from Argentina that Wolverhampton Wanderers could be an option for CA Talleres’ Ramón Sosa in the summer window.

Journalist Germán García Grova took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to back up Wolves’ interest in the 24-year-old.

Germán García Grova says Sosa has a ‘good chance’ of ending up in England because he changed agents, without providing details of his new agent.

DirecTV Sports also claims the Premier League side have shown interest in the Paraguay international.

It’s claimed Wolves’ plan is to secure the attacker’s services ‘as soon as possible’, before Talleres’ Copa Libertadores clash against River Plate, which is scheduled to take place in August.

Talleres president Andrés Fassi had earlier revealed that Sosa would certainly leave in the next window. Their manager, Walter Ribonetto, is worried about the possibility of losing the player.

“There is Ramón and some other cases. There could be offers because the players have grown a lot. Hopefully nothing will happen, we have a good six months ahead of us, and we want them all for what’s to come,” he said.

According to DirecTV Sports, Talleres will only let Sosa leave if his $20m [£15.6m] clause is activated. Wolves want to quickly wrap up the deal, and they can do it by triggering his clause.
