It looks like Crystal Palace, Hull City and Sunderland should all cross Soualiho Meite off their wanted list, at least for the next window.
Earlier it was explained in Belgium that Meite didn’t want to join Crystal Palace or Sunderland, despite there being ‘concrete’ interest from the both the Premier League clubs. Hull City were then brought into the equation, but it was the same situation for Marco Silva’s men.
Zulte Waregem’s Meite, on loan from Lille, was looking for a bigger English club, somewhere like Manchester United.
L’Equipe have an update on the situation, and they believe AS Monaco are Meite’s likeliest destination. That’s because the player now feels he isn’t ready for a move to the Premier League, which would once again rule out Palace, Hull, and Sunderland.
The 23 year old failed to impress enough at Lille, hence his loan to Zulte Waregem, and Monaco would need to sell at least a couple of midfielder for Meite to have chance of a look-in.
