Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has a dream, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. Well, a couple of them to be precise.

Marca reckon Mourinho ‘dreams’ of signing Raphael Varane and Alvaro Morata. Whilst the Varane admiration is very well documented and easy to believe, Manchester United certainly aren’t one of the clubs to be most linked with Morata.

The Real Madrid pair wouldn’t come cheap and the umbrella story is one of David De Gea interest, with Marca not saying that they could be used in a deal but that being the insinuation.

Morata, 24 years of age, has scored 16 goals for Real Madrid so far this season in a back-up role. There have been reports he’s frustrated at playing second fiddle to Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, and could be open to a move.

The Frenchman has now been out for several weeks with a hamstring issue and since the beginning of 2016 his injury list is: Calf, thigh, knee, muscular, hamstring.

Varane and Morata to Manchester United isn’t being strongly pushed by Marca, and getting David De Gea is their overriding idea, with it seeming increasingly likely Real Madrid will make an effort during the summer.
