Former Liverpool midfielder terminates contact, refuses to get on team bus

 

Former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has terminated his contract with Ternana. The Mali international only joined the Serie B side last month, but he’s already looking for a new club.

Ternana News have confirmed Sissoko is no longer a Ternana player after cutting short his time at the club last weekend. It’s been claimed Sissoko refused to be a substitute for his side’s game with Trapani on Saturday, and that he didn’t even join his teammates on the team bus.

The Ternana media are obviously unhappy with the actions of Sissoko saying the former Liverpool player had a total disregard for his teammates and coach.

Sissoko joined Liverpool in 2005 from Valencia, and he went on to make over eighty appearances for the Merseyside club. During his time at Liverpool the defensive midfielder won the FA Cup before joining Juventus in 2008.

Sissoko went on to play for several other clubs after Juventus, including PSG, Fiorentina and Levante, before his recent move to Ternana.

Last week Sissoko looked back favourably on his Anfield career, sending compliments to former Liverpool teammate Xabi Alonso, as the Spaniard announced his retirement.
